Jim Paull

CEO & Co-Founder

Jim has 20 years of experience in renewables and energy manufacturing. He is CEO and head of technology of Stellaris and has been Senior Advisor for Distributed Resources at the international consulting firm DNV. He has spent his entire professional career working to advance renewable energy and energy efficiency. Jim served as CEO for over 17 years for Industrial Energy Corporation, a manufacturer of industrial energy recovery equipment. He spent seven years as an independent professional engineer specializing in energy conservation and efficiency analysis for major Northeast electric utilities. Early in his career, he was a Project Manager at the Northeast Solar Energy Center. Jim has been awarded seven patents for solar photovoltaic modules, photovoltaic power electronics, solar thermal collectors, and industrial process heat recovery equipment. He holds a MS in engineering from Tufts University, a MS in management from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and AB and BE degrees in engineering from Dartmouth College. He was formerly registered as a Professional Engineer in Massachusetts and Connecticut. In his spare time Jim enjoys skiing, biking, and travelling with his wife to fun places. He retired from the US Naval Reserve with the rank of Commander after twenty years of service, was President of Merrimack Valley Habitat for Humanity, and was a Trustee of South Church in Andover.
